Ada's Hideaway is a well-received cottage in Cumbria, praised for its tranquil setting on a horse rehabilitation farm, cleanliness, and high-quality facilities. Guests appreciate the comfortable bedding, modern amenities, and the property's suitability for both pets and children. The picturesque views and peaceful environment contribute to a restful stay, although access via single-file country roads may challenge some drivers.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless and well-maintained. The attention to detail in this aspect is frequently commended.
The location is generally appreciated for its tranquility and scenic views, with positive remarks about the surrounding farm and nearby canal walks. However, some concerns are raised about the single-file country roads leading to the property, which could affect the score for those less confident in driving.
Guests find the property very comfortable, highlighting the quality of the bedding and the peaceful atmosphere. The presence of modern bathrooms and a log burning stove add to the overall comfort. However, there are minor comments about the noise of floorboards and the weight of duvets.
The facilities are generally praised, especially the well-equipped kitchen and secure garden for dogs. Some issues with maintenance, such as a non-working outside tap and fan, and the absence of on-site management for problem resolution, slightly detract from the score.
While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided in this category.

Place is immaculate with lots of nice little touches. One of the best rentals we have stayed in.

Itâs such a beautiful property, we especially liked the reverse living. With the living room upstairs so you could appreciate the views of the fields and horses. The main bathroom was lovely with a beautiful waterfall shower plus separate shower too. The beds were so comfortable, we honestly havenât slept so well! Weâd love to know what mattresses they are.The only thing missing is a dressing table and mirror in the master bedroom. I used a separate room to get ready which had a mirror. Iâd have rated 5 stars if it had this. Also, a big coffee table would be nice in the living room. These are things are can easily be changed though so thatâs just me being âpickyâ. Other than that, Iâd highly recommend ADAâs hideaway, beautiful location, lovely and quiet and so comfortable. Thank you so much for such a lovely peaceful week which we both really needed.

Nice secure garden for the dogs and the outdoor lighting is perfect. Nice quiet location but lovely walks from the door and close to everything you could need.
