What our customers say about their holidays
The D Family and Milo the dog - Verified booking
We've had a lovely week and have been very lucky with the weather. The Cottage is so comfy, love the squishy cushions, pillows and duvet and all the quirky little treasures. Thank you for the wine and nibbles to welcome us XFri Unpacked and walked to the Jolly Farmer for drinks and dinner, nice to have a pub nearby and food was OK Sat. Breakfast in the garden, Milo loved exploring! Lunch at the Hoste, Burnham Market then to Holkham Beach, lovely long sandy beach, though some dog restrictions because of ground nesting birds. Sun Delicious Sunday roast at the Hoste, walked it off up Road Hills opposite the Cottage and into the fields beyond. Mon Old Hunstanton beach, oved it! Milo had fun in the sand dunes. We had lunch at the beach cafe (v. good) and visited Le Strange arts and crafts centre. Tues Brancaster beach, perfect for Milo, he dug a big hole in the sand. Stopped at the Jolly Sailor but despite good reviews we were disappointed' Wed Visited Creake Abbey cafe and deli for coffee and cake and intend to o back for breakfast on Friday. Went onto Wells Next the Sea, another beautiful long sandy beach and more hole digging by Milo! We had fish and chips for dinner at Erics at Thornham, so good! Thurs Packed and got sorted for journey home tomorrow, then took a picnic to Old Hunstanton beach, lovely sunny afternoon, Last drink at the Hoste and then dinner at the White Horse, Brancaster Staithe. Delicious! Lots of fish on the menu. Need to book.

We have had a lovely time staying in this beautiful cottage. The gorgeous furniture, an imaginative collection and eclectic mix of vintage, mid-century, industrial and modern! Such a special cottage. Our dogs were really happy and settled really well - always a good sign!Everything was 'spot on'. Very well equipped with items of a good quality. It was spotless on our arrival and we loved all the gorgeous cushions! The electric heaters were excellent and warmed up the cottage very quickly. The log burner made it all very cosy. My favourite place in the cottage was to sit in the little chair by the window in the dining room. Beds also very comfy. Many thanks to Linzi (owner) who we had to ring on our first night here she helped us with a little problem with kindness and understanding. We love Norfolk and visited a lot for the first time staying in North Creake. Holkham to Wells Beach walk is fantastic, as is the walk from Burnham Overy Staithe, across the bank to the fabulous secluded beach. We love Stiffkey and the wonderful little Stiffkey Stores, who do the best coffee and cakes. The walk from Morston Quay to Blakney is an easy one and very nice too. Old Hunstanton Beach is gorgeous. Village pub fab too! Many thanks for letting us stay in Willow Cottage.

Beautiful Cottage, with everything we could have needed. A lovely location, we recommend Holkham Beach for untouched and sprawling white sandy beaches, backed by sweet smelling pine forest with plenty of space to find a quiet spot to chill. Many games of scrabble were had, fought into the stillness of the summer nights, many pints sunk at the best pub in the area, The Jolly Farmer, a five-minute walk. We were blessed with clear blue skies and temperatures to please even the most Saharan of creatures, and this allowed us to bake in the garden, surrounded by the beautiful flora and fauna the Cottage has to offer. I can personally attest to the coolness of the stream, situated under the Willow tree. We recommend Blickling Manor House, it has a pub, Buckinghamshire Arms, which has an amazing roast, not to mention how great the whole menu was. If you are up for an afternoon of family enjoyment, Urban Clay jewellery shop in Aylsham hosts bangle and ring workshops that are easy and rewarding. Overall, our time spent at Willow Cottage has been a week of relaxation in an idyllic home. Many thanks!

Enjoyed a restful and relaxing stay in Willow Cottage. Disappointed to see Creake Abbey Farm Shop and Cafe closed, but it is reopening end of October. Jolly Farmers is a lovely friendly village pub, but very limited opening hours so do check before visiting (especially if for food!)Our favourite places to visit really are Sculthorpe Mill (open every day, lunch and dinner unlike many places!) for wonderful food and drink in an idyllic setting - about 10mins drive. Wonderful in summer with amazing outdoor space and equally fabulous and cosy in Autumn / Winter. Also highly recommended is the Stiffkey Red Lion, with a new chef who has transformed the food. Walk from Wells next the Sea (about 90 mins) and get the bus back if you can't be bothered to walk after lunch, but watch out for timing - only 1 per hour out of season!PS Butchers (treacle bacon!) and Fish shop (Brancaster mussels and Cromer Crab) and Bakery in Burnham Market are all fabulous - do the circular walk around all the Burnhams, then reward yourself with a treat afterwards!

4 people and a dog had a wonderful week in beautiful Willow Cottage. We loved your eclectic mix of memorabilia and styles you have used. Every nook and every cranny = new surprises. We were very lucky with the weather and did some lovely walks and visited all the places already documented. We walked a few times from here to Creake Abbey: From the front door walk left and bear right down Wells Road just after the bus stop. Keep going, straight past the 'triangle'. Keep going, then you see a wide green bridle path to the left. This takes you all the way to Creake Abbey. Lovely shops and cafe. If you like massive Yorkshire Pudding, book for Sunday lunch. There is another footpath for dog walks right from the front door and opposite the church. And of course the woodland opposite the cottage is extremely handy.Brancaster car park quite expensive. At Blakeney park behind the Village Hall as parking is free.We had an amazing lunch at the White Horse, Brancaster Staithe and nice coastal walk from there.
