. 1. Very vague directions to initially locate the cottage 2. Little or no and sometimes misleading information about the cottage in a scrappy book 3. Wifi that would not connect 4. Luke warm water in first bathroom so no hot showers for the week 5. Although the cottage appeared clean, once cupboards were opened, these were grubby, and contained a jumble of unclean pots pans and rubbish. 6. Down lights hanging out of the sockets in both bathrooms and several not containing lights. These looked to be a fire hazard as we could see insulation packed around the light fitting in the ones falling out of the ceiling. 7.No iron provided although there was an ironing board. Searched high and low for this and it could not be located. 8. No cold water to the basin tap in bathroom 2. It would only turn a little. 9. A TV was provided which we could not initially operate , and no instructions . However, there was a Sky box which we learned at a later date the owner had cancelled the subscription, but in our phone conversations with him, this was not mentioned , adding to our frustration as we tried to work out the TV function. 10. Bulbs missing to lamps throughout the cottage as well as overhead lights. 11. Outside bins were full making it difficult to dispose of the weeks rubbish as requested by Sykes 12. The owner called his cousin to help with the TV and he was as helpful as he could be under the circumstances.

Main issues were maintenance of this property. Second day had no water and Plummer had to be called. Outside swing and slide broken and area overgrown.Dishwasher broken which we temporarily fixed. Broken shelf in bathroom and knobs on cupboards loose. There is a pot hole on entrance to drive to property so be careful on approach. We were only left a set of keys to main door. There was no back door key or keys in conservatory. In event of a fire we had no other means of exit.

The home was so relaxing with its location around the forest. We are looking forward to staying again.
