Guests say

Rainbows End is a well-located cottage in Clifden, appreciated for its ample space and thoughtful provisions, making it a home away from home. Guests enjoyed the scenic surroundings and found it convenient for exploring Connemara. Some concerns were raised about the approach to the property and the need for updates to linen and towels.

The property generally appears clean, but there are reports of stained sheets and hairs in the bathrooms, suggesting room for improvement in thoroughness.

The cottage's location is praised for its proximity to Clifden, scenic views, and ease of access to local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.

The cottage is considered comfortable, with a homely feel and ample space. However, some guests noted issues with steep access and the quality of bed linen, which could affect overall comfort.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and cosy lounge. Some maintenance issues were mentioned, such as heating and water pressure, but these were addressed promptly.

Guests felt well accommodated with provisions like condiments and toiletries. While gifts are not explicitly mentioned, the range of DVDs and books suggests a considerate touch, though such extras should not be expected.

very close to Clifden and very quiet.

Sadly anybody with mobility issues might struggle with either a fairly steep slope or steps to reach the property. I say ‘sadly’ because once inside this cottage has everything that you would need. Great kitchen, dining area and a cosy lounge with an open fire. Crazy 20 degree weather in late September meant that we didn’t use the fire. The garden is a bit underloved but our aging pooch was fine with that. Clifden is just a gem, wonderful Wild Atlantic Way drives in several directions or Abbeys and Mountains, plus many pubs and restaurants to enjoy. We highly recommend Rainbows End, and look forward to a return visit.
