Cheltenham is a town in Gloucestershire and lies beneath Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds and above the vale of the River Severn. It is known as 'The Western Gateway to the Cotswolds'. This edge-of-the Cotswolds spa town is hard to beat for refined elegance and Regency terraces, annual festivals, Ladies' College and racecourse. If you have an EV, charge up elsewhere as there is no facility at the cottage at all. Quiet, warm and cozy, fine for a couple with pets, but could be a little 'too cozy' for four adults. Naunton has a superb pub, but be aware, Monday night food needs booking in advance (as we found out!) but is excellent the rest of the week; then again, Bourton on the Water is a ten minute drive away with plenty of food outlets (apart from Marston's pub that shuts the kitchen early for some reason!). Thoroughly recommended, would book again in a hearbeat.
