The Cornerstone is a well-received cottage in Cheltenham, praised for its prime location and overall cleanliness. Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings and the property's proximity to local attractions. The cottage is described as cosy and welcoming, with a homely feel that has led to recommendations and return visits.
Most guests found the cottage to be very clean, though a few noted specific areas where cleanliness could be improved, such as the kitchen, windowsills, and lounge floor. These appear to be isolated incidents rather than a general trend.
The location is highly praised for being close to the town centre and local amenities while remaining peaceful. Its proximity to walking trails and the village of Bourton-on-the-Water is frequently mentioned as a positive aspect.
Guests find the property comfortable, with a welcoming atmosphere and cosy furnishings. Some guests suggested improvements such as better TV reception and seasonal bedding adjustments, but overall the comfort level is rated highly.
The facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and private parking. However, there are comments about the need for better instructions for the TV and recycling, as well as minor maintenance issues like bathroom fixtures.
While some guests mentioned receiving a welcoming pack and appreciated quick responses from the owners, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful gestures such as gifts to accurately assess this category. Therefore, it should be noted that while some guests have reported receiving gifts, these are not guaranteed.

Just a short walk round the corner to the main town but still quiet. The property itself was nice but felt a tiny bit more care was needed with the cleaning. The lounge floor is in need of a good clean as stained by the door and also needed a better vacuum as there were crumbs etc when arrived. The other thing to mention is that the bath is slow to drain so started to fill up when having a shower.

The shower was amazing great water pressure.
Christine
Superb location. Great walks straight from the property, so we could leave the car.
