The two bathrooms were one of the main reasons for booking. A downstairs toilet would have been a bonus. The location was very quiet and concealed. Certainly off the âbeaten trackâ. Personally (as the driver) I found it a little too far away from Stow on the Wold particularly at night. One point which is common to every single rental property I have stayed in is the frying pan. I normally take my own but had forgotten it. The frying pans are always scratched, lost their non stick and frequently dirty without exception. Frying pans cost around £15 for a cheap one so why arenât they replaced say every couple of months. This is a general issue for Manor Cottages to highlight. Luckily our dog is old and arthritic so didnât need big walks although Naunton Dovecote wasnât far and we made it to the river. We found the owners of Oyster Barn very pleasant and had a good time.

The only minor issue was the weather was not good so the barn was cooler than we would have liked. Naunton village is a beautiful place and local pub very welcoming. It is a great location for visiting other Cotswold towns.
