Completing this delightful property is the outdoor space; an enclosed courtyard with decking and furniture provides the perfect place for a spot of al fresco dining as you savour a glass of wine in the last of the summer sun while before snuggling around the chimenea one the sun has set. The town and surrounding areas are home to numerous attractions and walking and cycling routes; a footpath leads from the property, through a park and into the town centre, where you can see North Mill, a bridge bringing architectural and historical significance to the area due to its vital role throughout the industrial revolution. A short car journey or longer walk will take you to the historic Heage Windmill, one of the only stone-built windmills in the country, or venture slightly further afield to Elvaston Castle Country Park, home to magnificent castle set over 321 acres and complete with stunning historical gardens and woodlands, perfect for all ages and abilities. If you are visiting with younger members of the group, Matlock Farm Park is reachable by car and a fascinating day out for the whole family where you can get up close with the farm animals before stopping at the café for a cup of tea and a light lunch.
