Tucked away in the historic market town of Chesterfield, Derbyshire on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park, discover this lovely mid-terrace holiday home, Overton. Boasting plenty of living spaces, a private garden and close access to the local amenities, Overton welcomes eight guests and one well-behaved pooch to bask in a peaceful escape to Derbyshire. Upon entering, be impressed by a fully-stocked kitchen, showcasing a range of top-quality appliances sure to excite any budding chef; allow them to rustle up a tasty dish as you set the table in the dining room, ready to tuck into a feast and toast to a fantastic getaway. During balmier months, why not venture to the private garden where you can bask in an alfresco delight or make use of the summer house to enjoy quality time altogether. When the stars appear, retreat to an inviting sitting room and snuggle up on a plush sofa, clicking on the Smart TV ready to catch up on your favourite shows. Freshen up with use of a spacious and sleek bathroom, indulging in a long soak in the freestanding bath or a revitalising shower before completing your all-important evening routine; choose from one of four immaculately-presented bedrooms including three doubles and a second-floor twin with sofa and TV, ideal for the younger members of your group. Enjoy the treasures of Derbyshire from the lovely base of Overton.
Chesterfield, a historic market town that serves as a gateway to the Peak District, is a popular tourist destination. The town's 14th-century church, known for its "Crooked Spire," which diverges curiously from the building's true centre, has attracted visitors for centuries, and the many quaint shops and stalls that line the town's historic Market Hall and the charming Shambles beyond are best explored on the market days that the town hosts most frequently. Queens Park features a lake, pathways, and a summer bandstand in addition to the town's museum and theatre. Nearby, the Elizabethan Hardwick Hall is impressive even today thanks to its six grand towers, which look out over the superb gardens and walled courtyards of the grounds and are elaborately monogramed with Bess of Hardwick's initials. Bolsover Castle is another popular attraction; it is a 17th-century mansion that lies in ruins atop a wooded hill, facing west towards the Peak District. Chatsworth and Haddon Hall, the conveniences of Matlock and Bakewell, and the opera in Buxton are just some of the nearby attractions. An intriguing foundation for a multifaceted break.

EVERYTHING WAS PROVIDED FOR US AND EVERY ROOM WAS LARGE AND COMFORTABLE WITH SOME NICE TOUCHES REGARDING ORNAMENTS ETC. THE MAIN BATHROOM WAS 5 STAR LUXURY TREAT, KITCHEN WELL STOCKED AND ALL BEDS SO COMFORTABLE. WAS ABLE TO THROW A FAMILY BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR MY SON IN THE DINING ROOM WITH EASE. THE GARDEN AREA WAS ALSO GOOD FOR WINDING DOWN AFTER A LONG DAY. LOCATION WISE WE WERE ONLY 20 MINUTES WALK FROM THE TOWN CENTRE AND THE FAMOUS CROOKED SPIRE, ONLY HALF AN HOUR FROM THE BRIGHT LIGHTS OF SHEFFIELD AND ON THE DOORSTEP OF THE PEAK DISTRICT NATIONAL PARK WHICH IS WHERE WE SPENT MOST OF OUR TIME. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYBODY WHO WANTS A LUXURY BUT COSY STAY IN A TOWN WHICH PROVIDES A GATEWAY TO SOME OF THE MOST SPECTACULAR SCENERY I HAVE EVER SCENE.
