Wirksworth is rich of character, with numerous architecturally significant structures, especially its splendid parish church. With a local produce ethic, independent stores coexist with delis, butchers, and bakers. Visitors will love visiting the Puzzle Gardens' historic "jitties" and courtyards, as well as the Heritage Centre and the wonderful surrounding landscape, which includes adjacent Carsington Water, Black Rocks, and the High Peak Trail.

On arrival a very generous welcome basket was there to greet us. The cottage was very clean and it has everything you need and is well kitted out. Perfect location with every amenity a short walk away, plenty of information leaflets in the property too. We had an issue on our first evening all our own doing I may add and the owners could not of been more helpful, understanding or generous in their prompt response. 10 out of 10 from us and we will be back again in the future. We cannot recommend this place enough.
