Guests say

Guests generally appreciate the Westcott cottage for its comfortable interiors, superb location near the beach, and suitability for dogs. While some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness aspects were noted, the property's charm and amenities like a well-equipped kitchen and washing machine were highlighted positively. The proximity to the beach and the helpfulness of the owners were also praised.

The property was described as clean and well-equipped. However, there were comments about bins being full on arrival and bird droppings on the decking, which suggests room for improvement in outdoor cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its closeness to the beach and is considered ideal, especially for dog owners and those looking to enjoy seaside walks.

The property is generally found to be comfortable, though some guests mentioned issues with bed placement, steep stairs, and a lack of storage space in certain bedrooms, which affected the overall comfort for some guests.

Facilities like the kitchen and washing machine are appreciated, but several guests reported maintenance issues such as problems with the hob, light fixtures, and waste disposal. The lack of an iron and the poor shower pressure were also noted.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate the thoughtfulness of the host, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Upstairs the front bedroom was spacious with lovely views over the surrounding area. The bed was uncomfortable as it had a lip round the outside. Second bedroom was tiny. I couldn't open the door fully as it caught on the bed. Lovely shower room. However the shower pressure was poor and difficult to shower thoroughly. Molly was very quick to sort a broken shower door handle when I reported it.I would expect a property with 3 bedrooms to have 2 bathrooms. Maybe another one installed downstairs? The raised bedroom off the living room was small with steep steps, again with the uncomfortable lip. Lovely balcony in the living room. Nice to sit and chill there. Outside decking space good. The yard by the back door uneven surface and tired looking. Loved the easy access to the beach. Recycling information needs updating. Why provide 3 recycling bins in the pantry when outside there was only a general waste container? That was so big we couldn't manoeuvre it. Access sandy lane outside the property full of deep holes. Just beware. Slippery to manoeuvre on and off the drive when wet. Very quiet area. Enjoyed watching the rabbits. Easy access to footpaths. Cafe close by.

Has everything you need and more. So close to the beach too. Will hopefully come back with daughter too, next time. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable, clean, well equipped. Good location. Our dogs settled Well too. Only slight criticism, people must be able to walk up steps, in the garden and the stairs in the house are steep. Overall a good holiday property, which we would book again.
