Nestled at the base of the Lincolnshire Wolds, a region recognised for its exceptional natural beauty, is the picturesque village of Woodhall Spa. Formerly known as a "Inland Resort," today this charming community is home to the English Golf Union and features not one but two championship golf courses. Woodhall Spa has a lot to offer, from a heated outdoor pool and other sports and leisure facilities to woodland walks, a children's play area, and even a small, eccentric cinema that was formerly an original picture theatre in the late 19th century. Tattershall Lakes Country Park, perfect for fishing and watersports, is only a 10-minute drive away, and the antiques mecca of Horncastle is only 6 miles distant. Lincoln, an ancient city, is only 20 miles distant, and the East Coast can be reached in under an hour and a half. Great hiking and biking trails exist in the area, or you can simply kick back and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this charming little village.

! First of all, a BIG thank-you to the lovely host Clare, for letting us stay at this stunning property. We all have thoroughly enjoyed it. Right from the comfortable beds, and well catered to supplies in the bathrooms and kitchen (essentials like these are a must! Tired of going away and forgetting something, then having to fork out to add extras or kitchen equipment as it's not supplied). The host was absolutely lovely. We loved the games room, the well maintained garden and the hottub. The property overall was very clean and cosy. We loved the complimentary goodies especially the wine and the plum loaf. The whole area was very quaint and charming and very enjoyable. If I could choose to live anywhere, then I think this would be my heaven on earth dream come true. My youngest was hype about it when he got back, says it was the best holiday ever! My eldest, although a bit fussy, was glad of the comfy mattress, as the last holiday we went on, had awful lumpy ones, so at least he slept better this time. We just adored this place, it was so nice and peaceful here. Also, the shops were very easy to reach and there was an especially nice bakery, which sold some rather exquisite delectables. Overall, I think 10/10 doesn't seem fair, as this property is more a 100/10! Walking through that door the first day, after having lost a day due to a mix-up with the hire car, was such a welcome relief. Just absolutely loved it through and through. Many thanks for making holidays great again. â¤ï¸

Everything you need on hand, facilities are excellent. Lovely welcome gifts of prosecco and plumb loaf, plus extras for our dog. Lots to do in and around Woodhall Spa. Had a great week, already booked again for next year.
