This contemporary conversion of historic stables set in the impressive grounds of the beautiful Belchamp Hall estate in Belchamp Walter is an ideal romantic break in the countryside with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep.
All on the ground floor, the former stables have been tastefully converted into a stylish studio-style retreat and sleep up to two guests in one bedroom. There is a large, open-plan living space including a well-equipped, bespoke kitchen with a large island and a dining area for up to four guests so friends are most welcome to join you for a home-cooked supper. For a cosy night in, the two Chesterfield sofas are conveniently positioned for enjoying a film or two on the 55" Smart television. Accessed from the sitting area via sliding wooden panel doors, the bedroom hosts a generous 6' super-king size bed and benefits from an en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath, Jack and Jill basins, and a 'loo with a view'.
Outside is a private, elevated terrace with outdoor dining furniture and a barbecue for your enjoyment. Guests are also welcome to explore the walled garden or challenge themselves with a game of tennis on the tennis court.
As the Belchamp Hall Stables are located in the middle of a family-owned estate and you are welcome to explore the grounds and many footpaths. There is also access to the historic walled garden where a shared tennis court is available for guests to use, with racquets provided.

A stunning and spacious property that delivered everything we needed for a luxurious and restful stay. From the moment we drove through the gates and received a lovely welcome from Charlie we were excited to be in the Belchamp Hall setting. And then our jaws dropped even further when we went inside. Everything about the property felt unique; from the building architecture itself to the beautiful decoration and furnishings and also the gorgeous outside space and views. On a practical level it was very sensibly and intuitively kitted out and laid out, and we had everything we possibly needed without having to search. We loved the relaxed feel of the open plan space and enjoyed all the design features, including some very upmarket board games which were another lovely suprise. It was pure luxury and it was hard to tear ourselves away from the comfy sofas, ‘library’, huge but discreet TV and the restful outside space. The owners made us aware that they were close by if needed; which was the case - a big thanks to them for helping us out of a pickle after a packing mishap of our own making. Creative solutions seem to come second nature to Charlie and Alice!
