About this property

Set just back from Keswick s busy marketplace, this property is a short walk from the local shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs perfect for anyone hoping to abandon the car for a few days. With something for everyone, Keswick is also home to a famous Pencil Museum, swimming pool, crazy golf, climbing wall and art gallery. Leaving the town itself, the beautiful Derwentwater lies just 1 mile away, offering a regular launch service with the option to hop on and off at various points. At Lingholm, visit the walled garden that inspired Beatrix Potter, at Hawse End take a stroll up Catbells via Rowling End, or jump off at Lodore to see the waterfall before treating yourself to a cream tea at the hotel. Rising above nearby Braithwaite is the mountainous Whinlatter Forest, home to paths, bike trails and Go Ape great for adrenaline junkies. Tastefully modernised to offer a stylish blend of original features and modern comforts, this three bedroom property is an ideal base from which to explore this area of the Lake District National Park. Enter via the side entrance into the chic contemporary kitchen, which features a handy drying area for damp paws, boots and coats. The light and airy kitchen comprises an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and oak dining table to seat up to six guests. The lounge is a warm and welcoming space for relaxing, with a tall Victorian sash window, gas wood burner, inviting sofas and large TV with BluRay player and hdmi input for games consoles ideal for teens. A winding staircase leads up to the first floor where a super king size bedroom, main shower room and additional WC with washing machine are located. Meanwhile, on the second floor you will find a double bedroom and a twin bedroom that can be made up as a super king on request. Outside, there is a pleasant front garden with a seating area for enjoying a cup of coffee in the sunshine. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 super king (can be made up as twin on request), 1 twin (can be made up as super king on request) and 1 double. 1 shower room and 1 separate WC. Electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Washing machine. Travel cot and highchair available. TV with BluRay. Street parking this is unrestricted in most interconnecting streets. Garden with seating. Towels included. Please note the stairway leading up to the first and second floors is quirky. Whilst safe, the winding staircase has a handrail but is narrow and small children would need to be closely supervised on the stairs.. Shops and pubs 0.5 miles.
