Head to Cave at the Wave, the Lake District Aquarium or try your hand at go karting before walking the mile long promenade or the 5.5 mile coast road to Allonby. Closer to home is the birthplace of Wordsworth, Cockermouth, where a handful of pubs and eateries offer you somewhere to treat yourself to a tasty bite. Just 9.5 miles away lies Bassenthwaite Lake and below, is Derwentwater (15.5 miles). Set over many different levels, this home brilliantly caters for family reunions or getaways with friends. Please make sure that your dogs are under control, as there is farmland surrounding the property . Bike storage available. Separate games room with full sized snooker table, bar and piano. Fold away table tennis table in barn. Guests are permitted to set off fireworks at certain times of year. Time and date must be confirmed with the neighbours at Gale House. Chinese lanterns are not permitted.. Shops and restaurants within 2.5 miles, pub 1 mile. Short breaks available from Friday and Monday on selected dates please call to book.
