Agathi Cottage in Keswick is highly praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and cosy comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. While some minor issues are noted, the overall sentiment is extremely positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage receives consistent commendation for its spotless condition upon guests' arrival, indicating a high standard of cleanliness maintained by the property.
The central location is frequently highlighted as a major advantage, offering easy access to Keswick's shops, pubs, and natural attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring.
Most guests find the cottage warm and cosy with comfortable furnishings, though a few mention the beds could be improved. The overall comfort level is deemed high.
Facilities are generally well-received, with the cottage being well-equipped for a self-catering stay. Some guests suggest minor additions and maintenance, but the overall feedback is positive.
While some guests mention the lack of welcome gifts such as biscuits and milk, which are common in other cottages, it is not a consistent point of feedback across the reviews, and as such, cannot be fairly scored. It should be noted that while such gestures are appreciated, they are not a guaranteed amenity.

Perfect for a walking holiday round Keswick no need to use the car.

Our first impressions on entering the cottage was how spotless it was. Iâve never stayed somewhere so clean and so well furnished. Plenty of handy supplies in the kitchen and hand soap in the bathroom, which is always welcome. The beds were comfortable and the lounge was a great place to relax and people watch! It is right in the heart of Keswick so can be a little noisy first thing, but this wasnât an issue. Having everything on your doorstep is a major plus along with a parking space! The only thing I would mention is that whilst the house welcomes a dog, it is not ideal if you have a dog that likes the freedom of a back garden. There is a small outside area to sit which is a lane shared with others, so not secure and it is not meant to be used for toileting your dog. Worth knowing and we didnât take our dog as we werenât sure on the facilities, so just making that clear. There are plenty of parks nearby and the car park has some green space, but this might not suit everyone. Certainly not a criticism. We loved our stay and hope to return. Thank you.
