Step through the white painted door and into the open-plan living space of the cottage, boasting a kitchen, sitting area and dining area in one, this room is the perfect place to spend quality time with the family, whether it’s simply to relax in front of the television on the plush sofa or gathering around the dining table to play board games or enjoy a home-cooked meal; this room is definitely the hub of the cottage. Head on through to the bedroom to unpack your belongings, here you can find a super-king-size bed and bunk beds, offering a brilliant layout for those with young children. In the warmer months, enjoy ball games with the children in the shared courtyard, or take out a cup of coffee to bask in the sun before heading out on an action-packed day of adventure. Cottage 3 is a delightful property to spend a trip with your loved ones, within close proximity to a wonderful array of amenities, it makes a great base for exploring the luscious lands of the Lake District.

Braithwaite lies in between the lakes of both Bassenthwaite and Derwenwater, boasting magnificent views of the Lake District National Park. the village holds a lot of character and tradition, as well as being home to two local shops and two real ale inns. The surrounding area offers ample opportunities to explore the scenery, from visiting the grand house and gardens of Mirehouse, to taking up the challenge of hiking up Skiddaw, there is plenty of wonder here to explore.

    However, nothing seems to have been done here since our last visit and the property is in need of re-decorating and sprucing up as it is looking very tired.

    Next to no issues with my stay, facilities were great aside from there being no door on the shower (you just have to be careful). Would definitely recommend

    No one knew who it belonged to. Maybe better marking/signs might help. Double bunk beds were great for our older kids.
