This location offers the perfect base for keen walkers, cyclists, and lovers of the great outdoors. The market town of Keswick is just 6 miles away, well known as the adventure capital of the Lakes, and there is a great choice of outdoor instructors available to help you find your wild side just a short drive or bus ride away. Surrounded by fells the cottage is also just 3 miles from Derwentwater where you can hire kayaks, paddleboards, sailing, and rowing boats. The local area offers fishing, rock climbing, and water sports; it is a paradise for the outdoor enthusiast. Alternatively, take in the views from one of the stately Derwentwater launches there are seven landing stages. Keswick has a lovely bustling atmosphere; enjoy the shops, take in a film, visit a museum or catch a play or concert at the wonderful Theatre By The Lake. Enter the property into the hallway; there is a pretty twin bedroom to your left, and across the hallway is the family bathroom offering a walk in shower and WC. As you head down the hall, you will find the bright and spacious country style open plan kitchen and dining room, with patio doors opening onto the private patio. Head outside from the kitchen/dining area and you will find a private spacious patio with views over the fells. There is seating to enjoy al fresco dining on a nice evening or a coffee in the morning. There is private parking for up to two cars in the small car park just 20 metres from the property.
