Guests say

Guests appreciate the cottage's prime location in Keswick, its proximity to the town centre and parks, and the quietness of the area. The property is well-equipped with comfortable furniture, good-sized bedrooms, and excellent bathrooms. While some minor maintenance issues and cosmetic wear are noted, these do not detract significantly from the overall experience. The property is seen as a good value for a pleasant stay in the Lake District.

The property is generally found to be clean, with one report of dirty plates quickly resolved. One guest mentioned an old bath mat, but overall, the cleanliness is well-regarded.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to the town centre and local attractions, with easy parking and a quiet setting adding to its appeal.

Guests find the beds and sofas very comfortable, though some noted the lounge area is cosy for six people and the sofas could be more comfortable.

The property is well-equipped, but some maintenance issues like light bulbs, a dishwasher door, and a handrail were reported. The log burner also disappointed one guest.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Facilities in the cottage were good . Two lovely bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. The heating worked really well. The log burner was very disappointing, think it maybe needed sweeping. The cottage needs decorating all the way through and the sofas weren't particularly comfortable.

We were very disappointed with the noise and the skip parked directly outside of the window however. It was unsightly and unpleasant. The heating was also a bit temperamental. The house itself is lovely and in a fab location, it was just a shame our stay was tarnished due to the things I have mentioned.

Beds great. Great location. Bath Matt in 1st bathroom was old and pink from dying in a wash. Bathrooms nice though. Some of the paintwork needs retouching up on window sills and woodwork. TV had a line down it. There were no logs to use for the fire. Although book said replace logs used? We bought some though and fire was nice. There are stains in the kitchen ceiling from the shower. I would say it’s a nice property and just needs a few bits sorting. We enjoyed our stay despite the above.
