About this property

Situated on a working sheep farm, this comfortable pod is surrounded by the Northern Fells, with fabulous views towards Blencathra. The location may feel rural, but you are only a mile away from Threlkeld village with its country pubs, cricket pavilion, and golf course. You can walk into the market town of Keswick, which is just 4 miles away, along the old railway path. Annually, usually in May or June, Keswick hosts the Mountain Festival, with world-class sports, outdoor activities, talks, and films, along with live music. There are some fabulous walks, cycling routes and climbing opportunities, all available on your doorstep.

Entering the pod, you will find a bright, open-plan living area with a sofa and smart TV, which will allow you to log into your Netflix account and enjoy a good film together. The space inside has been well thought out. There’s a double bed with views out over the fells and a compact kitchen area with a double gas hob, microwave, toaster and fridge with freezer compartment - everything you need to rustle up breakfast or a quick bite. Completing the space is a bathroom which has a shower and WC.

The pod has a private veranda to the front entrance with seating and stunning views as well as a private hot tub. There is a traditional dry-stone wall and planting around the accommodation, plus private parking for one car.

We had the most amazing stay at Sharp Edge. There were so many lovely little details (including delicious bakes!), everything was thought of, and was executed perfectly. I’ve never stayed anywhere where I genuinely can’t think of one fault, but everything really was perfect. Thank you for the best stay.

Me and my partner had a wonderful time here. We came for my birthday celebration, 2 nights and 3 days. And we’ve loved our time here. We will be coming back and definitely recommend it to our friends and family. The area is nice, not too far away from the threlkeld to Keswick railway walk which was very good that we did one morning. And good driving distance from the major Lake District places, such as we visited pooley bridge, Keswick, Windermere, bowness, and Kendal. Thank you to the owners for all they have done. It’s been amazing.

This place 100% made our vacation. Very quiet, and just a quick drive to Threlkeld or Keswick. Great base for exploring the area. Unit was clean, quiet, had all the required items for making food. The hot tub just made everything better after a day of hiking and adventuring!
