The small hamlet of Waberthwaite is situated on the West Coast of Cumbria within the Lake District National Park, comprising of a scattering of cottages, farm dwellings and a traditional village pub. Waberthwaite enjoys an enviable position amidst some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain and is situated close to local beaches, coastal walks and many of the nearby conservation areas.

It was basic but tidy. There were a few maintenance issues that needed looking at but Iâm going to give the benefit of the doubt and say that they will be resolved once the height of the letting season is over and someone can address them fully rather than patching them! We had a lovely stay, wi-fi was good, great location for exploring the western Lake District and the pub (next door but one) was a great added bonus. if you decide to get shopping delivered to the property, Tesco will deliver there. Make sure you select 2 Park Nook CLOSE, as there is a road called Park Nook in the village apparently! Also go to the butchers in Waberthwaite for bacon and sausages (www.rbwoodall.co.uk) Delicious!! There is a local shop in the village too in case of necessities. And, if youâre old school and like to send postcards like us, there is a post box in the wall of the butchers shop too. :)

Comfy very clean and everything you needed. Couldnât fault it. Was a perfect getaway for us. Loved the cows daily, and the pub next door is outstanding for food, would highly recommend. We would for sure stay again. Thank you for a great break! Worth every penny.
