Guests say

Eskholme Lodge is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its stunning location, comfortable furnishings, and the peacefulness it offers. Guests appreciate the cleanliness, the ample walking opportunities right from the doorstep, and the secure garden for pets. The property is described as spacious and well-equipped, providing a homely feel and beautiful views, making it a recommended choice for a tranquil getaway.

The majority of guests found Eskholme Lodge to be clean and well-presented. There were isolated mentions of cobwebs and a wet floor upon arrival, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the norm.

The location is highly praised for its picturesque setting, proximity to walks, and peacefulness. It offers a less touristy experience of the Lake District with easy access to local attractions.

Guests consistently report that the property is comfortable, with spacious rooms and cosy furnishings. The presence of a log fire and comfortable beds contributed to the high comfort level experienced by visitors.

While the lodge is generally well-equipped, there are several reports of maintenance issues such as a broken dishwasher and log burner, and a lack of garden furniture. However, the provision of amenities like Sky TV and a washing machine was appreciated.

There are mentions of thoughtful touches like a Christmas tree and a secure garden for pets, but as gifts are not consistently referenced across the reviews, it is not possible to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while some guests were delighted by thoughtful gestures, such gifts are not guaranteed.

Slightly worn around the edges but this did not distract from the comfort and cleanliness of the place, we felt at home straight away. The only one fault we could find was the double bed was a bit too hard for us, the single beds were fine. It is an ideal holiday home for anyone staying with dogs and has a good sized secure garden. Ideally situated for exploring the quieter areas of the Western Lake District. A hotel and two good pubs to eat at just five minutes drive away in Ravenglass and if you are lucky you can watch the sunset as you enjoy your pint. We would definately like to stay there again.

We got great weather so spent most of the time in the fells, but it was lovely to return to the cottage, which was clean, comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. Overall, relaxing and homely. We didn't spend time in the garden, looked peaceful, but a little overgrown.

. No emergency contact with Sykes or owner until the following day. offered 1 alternative property which we would not have chosen and had very little option but to accept.one day of our holiday lost moving in and out of properties.sykes automated answer system has delayed action that does not cover emergencies and there was no offer of changing properties from them.i am now waiting to see what compensation is going to be offered for a spoiled holiday.
