Monreith is delightful, presented in a traditional style but with 21st century facilities, the perfect combination. The original flagged and stripped floorboards remind you that this property is well over 100 years old, whilst the newly installed wood burning stove creates a real focal point in the dining room yet looks and feels like it’s always taken pride of place. The sumptuous fully tiled bathroom really does have the wow factor and is the perfect pamper room for lovely long soak in the roll top tub after a hard day on the fells. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay it’s central for shops and restaurants there are lots of walks nearby The cottage was clean comfortable and very cosy and so well equipped Certainly would recommend it

Really enjoyed our stay at Monreith it had everything we wanted, cosy rooms, a really comfortable bed , and the bathroom had a lovely walk in shower and large bath. Highly recommend

The cottage was lovely and clean and in a great location. It was reasonably well equipped although there were some additions which may have been useful such as cushions in the lounge and blinds on the front windows. Some kitchen utensils also need replenishing.
