On the ground floor you’ll find a comfy lounge with leather Chesterfield sofas set around an open fire. The dining room features a huge oak dining table with seats for 14. It’s a great place to gather for a special dinner party. We can help you find caterers if you’d like to add a little extra to one of the evenings on your break.
There are 2 areas to the kitchen one for prepping and washing up and a larger space for cooking and socialising. The main kitchen has a large table with bench seating and a log burning fire for added atmosphere.
Outside in the rear courtyard there is a 7-seat covered hot tub, outdoor seating and a barbecue.
The cellar is home to Alice Howes 15 seat cinema, which has authentic fold seats and a 75inch Smart TV. Simply login to your Netflix or Prime Video account and go to the movies have a private viewing of your favourite film or latest blockbuster.
On the first floor there are 3 ensuite bedrooms and a compact twin with a bathroom on the landing. On the second floor there are a further, 2 ensuite bedrooms and one bedroom with a bathroom on the landing.
To the front of the property there is dedicated parking for up to 7 cars.
Alice Howe is well-positioned, just a moment’s walk from Windermere village, where you’ll find independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.
One must do while you are staying at Alice Howe the walk up Orrest Head. The path starts just across the road from the property, When you reach the top, (which takes about 20 minutes) you’ll understand why the Orrest Head walk has been named one of the best short walks in The Lake District, the views are spectacular.
