Take in the lovely tree-lined surroundings before stepping into the property, turning left to head straight into the open-plan living space, with neutral tones and quality furnishings to greet you, you'll have no trouble settling in here. Choose something on the TV to watch while you sink into the large sofa, with an elegant electric fire adding a homely sense, before making use of the kitchen appliances to rustle up a home-cooked meal for all, with a dining area to gather around for family meals. At the other end of the lodge you can find the pretty bedrooms, with a twin room featuring two 2'6" single beds being perfect for children, and the master double offering a tranquil spot to rest, with both rooms served by a neat shower room. A wonderful feature of this lodge is the lovely decked area outside, open up the French doors from the sitting area on a summer day and set up an alfresco lunch at the picnic table, or delight in some evening drinks up on the raised decking, enjoying your private secluded location. Stop at Ambleside to explore the historic Roman fort remains here, before browsing the local shops in the town, visiting 17th century The Bridge House and embarking on a walk just out of the centre along the beck and up to Stock Ghyll Force to admire the natural wonder of this 70ft waterfall surrounded by scenic woodland. Back down in Bowness-on-Windermere you can enjoy the delights of The World of Beatrix Potter before purchasing a souvenir in Peter Rabbit and Friends gift shop, while on the southern shores find the amazing Lakes Aquarium home to sharks, otters and reptiles! Troutbeck Bridge lies in the beautiful Lake District National Park, with a charming position around Trout Beck which flows into the nearby Lake Windermere. The village is home to a local spar convenience shop as well as a pub, The Sun Inn, providing both of the essentials for a self-catered stay. Spend your time exploring the surrounding fells, taking cruises along Lake Windermere, and visiting the popular attractions of the Lakes including The World of Beatrix Potter and Lakes Aquarium.
