Guests say

Jenny's holiday rental in Ambleside is praised for its excellent location, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and proximity to local amenities. The cottage's charm and the convenience of on-site parking are frequently mentioned, alongside the ease of access to nearby walks and the village centre.

Most guests find the property to be clean and well-maintained, with one report of thoroughness in cleaning being raised as an issue but expected to be resolved for future visitors.

The location is highly praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to the village centre, local amenities, and walking routes.

The property is generally considered comfortable, with cosy beds and seating areas. However, some guests mention the settees being low and difficult to get out of, and the duvets being too warm for the summer season.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and good bathroom amenities. Some guests suggest improvements such as more cupboard space, a shaving mirror, and a summer-weight duvet. The lack of a dryer and difficulty drying clothes are noted.

While the reviews reflect a well-equipped property and comfortable stay, there is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

The property was clean and well maintained, there was a good supply of kitchen equipment and utensils. The bed was really comfortable and the sofas too. The only thing we would suggest is that there be clear instructions to advance the heating, this we worked out in the end but would have helped. We enjoyed lots of great walks from the door and the little shopping area was nice to potter round.

Several calls said they would do what they could and get back to us. Sadly I had to make a call, and was told that our issue had been updated several hours earlier, according to log, but no one had called us. We never got lighter tog duvets. At a previous holiday in Hawkshead at Gooseyfoot, we made a similar request and within the day said duvets were delivered to the apartment. Seems since being under Sykes umbrella service is not as personal. We found it very uncomfortable sleeping under the duvets supplied, especially as the whole five days were gloriously warm.
