Guests say

Helm Crag in Grasmere is highly praised for its stunning views, wildlife encounters, and excellent walking routes right from the doorstep. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like Prosecco and nuts for the squirrels. The property's cleanliness, cosy decor, and private outdoor spaces contribute to a delightful stay, with many visitors planning return trips.

The property is consistently described as clean and tidy, with guests expressing satisfaction with the level of cleanliness. There are minor comments about dog hairs and a smell from the washing machine, but these do not detract significantly from the overall high standards maintained.

The location is exceptional, with direct access to popular trails and a short walk to Grasmere village. The views of the lake and surrounding nature are frequently highlighted. The steep access may challenge some, but it does not diminish the overall appeal.

Guests find the property very comfortable, with special mentions of the bed and seating. The presence of wildlife and the view from the picture window add to the comfort and relaxation experienced by visitors.

The facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. Some guests mention WiFi issues and a lack of certain items like a teapot or an extra toilet roll, but these are minor compared to the overall high-quality amenities.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the welcoming touches like Prosecco and nuts for the wildlife. While these gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Externally, the path up to the flat needs some attention. Some loose and rocky steps and the path surface has generally seen better days.
