Location ideal for public transport dependent visitors. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Just some maintenance issues: 1 the lights in the stairwell down to the kitchen don't work 2 a bedside lamp in the single bedroom is missing (found broken in a cupboard) 3 the extracting hose of the dryer was loose and we jerry-rigged it with a shoelace before the dryer could be used; instructions for dryer use would be helpful 4 instructions for wifi are out of date; only by scanning the QR code under the router did we find the correct one; the one printed on the router does not work 5 a waterproof mat in front of the shower might help preserve the beautiful carpet in the bathroom

Well-equipped and comfortable. Very clean with the exception of the blue hall/stairs/landing carpet which was covered with white dog hairs. A couple of things that would improve the stay would be a visitors pack with details of WiFi (the info is underneath the box, not on the back as the Sykes rep kept saying) and what to do with bed linen etc and rubbish (requested an email giving instructions from Sykes but didn't receive). Owners left their Facebook details for questions but I'm not on Facebook. Also, some hangers would be handy. On the whole, really enjoyed the trip and would recommend. A great introduction to Cumbria for our Ukrainian guest.
