Guests say

Guests are consistently delighted with their stays at Meadow Syke Byre, praising its beautiful furnishings, tranquil location, and the warm welcome from the host, Ruth. The hot tub is frequently highlighted as a highlight, offering relaxation and stunning views. The property's cleanliness, comfort, and thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts, contribute to an exceptional holiday experience.

Reviewers consistently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the property, describing it as spotless and immaculate, which indicates a very high standard of cleanliness maintained at the cottage.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful scenery, and proximity to local amenities and the Lake District. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting and the opportunity to see wildlife such as red squirrels.

Comfort is a standout feature, with guests specifically mentioning the massive, comfortable bed and the cosy atmosphere of the cottage. The property seems to provide a very comfortable stay for guests.

Facilities like the hot tub, dog shower, and fully equipped kitchen are frequently commended. However, a minor suggestion for an improvement over the hot tub and occasional internet issues prevent a perfect score.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the personalised touches and welcome gifts such as biscuits, wine, and treats for both guests and pets. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, they are a gracious bonus and may vary with each stay.

The cleanliness was excellent, with all accessories required available. The welcome from Ruth the owner was second to non. The cottage itself is set in lovely working farmland, and the views are wonderful, especially when viewed sat in the hot tub! One highlight worthy of a mention, is the visiting Red Squirrel/Squirrels, a brilliant experience. This holiday cottage is high on our agenda, to visit again. We really didn't want to leave! Highly recommended.

Ruth was an amazing host and was so helpful and understanding when we were running very late due to our car breaking down on the motorway from Leeds! The property itself is absolutely beautiful and Ruth has thought of everything to make it feel like home! The towel Swans on the bed were ace! The hot tub was amazing and we spent hours sat watching the stars and admiring the views. We will absolutely be booking to stay here again!
