Guests appreciate the attentive hosts, well-equipped lodges, and thoughtful touches, including treats for both humans and pets. The property's location offers a peaceful retreat with convenient access to local attractions.
Guests frequently mention the lodge's super clean condition and modernity, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One minor note on a mattress protector does not detract significantly from the overall excellent feedback.
The lodge's location is described as idyllic and peaceful, with easy access to local attractions and nature. The serene setting with wildlife and a river adds to the charm, although it is not central, which is a minor drawback for some.
Reviews highlight the comfortable beds, spaciousness, and private patios, suggesting a high level of comfort. The peaceful atmosphere contributes to a restful experience.
Facilities are well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen, Nespresso machine, and washing machine. The presence of a dishwasher and outdoor barbecue adds convenience. One mention of noisy guttering suggests a slight room for improvement in maintenance.
Guests are delighted by the thoughtful touches, such as welcome treats and amenities for pets. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such extras, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Haverthwaite is a small village and civil parish in the Furness region of Cumbria. It is within the Lake District National Park and is located six miles east of Ulverston, near the southern end of Windermere. The village gets part of its name from the Old Norse word thwaite which usually refers to a clearing or settlement in the forest. Close to the village is Newby Bridge which is at the southern tip of Lake Windermere which takes its name from the five arched stone bridge built in 1651 over the River Leven. The famous Furness Railway, one of Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam railways, runs between Haverthwaite and Newby Bridge. Visit the Lakeside Hotels and enjoy magnificent views across Windermere and the surrounding fells, or enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes, where the naturally themed habitats, bring the history of the Lakes vividly to life.
