Hawkshead 4.3 miles. This quality detached Lakeland cottage is located at Cunsey, within the wonderful, 5,000-acre Graythwaite Estate, enjoying an elevated position, offering superb views over Lake Windermere and the surrounding woodland. The setting is both private and peaceful; a perfect antidote to the stresses of everyday life, and the accommodation at this cottage is designed to help you relax. There is a well-equipped kitchen and open plan dining area, along with a very comfortable and welcoming sitting room with open fire, perfect for settling in on a chilly evening or after an autumn stroll by the lake. There are two attractive bedrooms at this Windermere cottage, one with an en-suite, guaranteeing a well-earned night's rest. The shores of Lake Windermere are just 15 minute' stroll away, and the surrounding estate is full of mature woodland walks with plenty of wildlife to spot. The on-site facilities, found at the estate's central courtyard, around 3 miles from this Windermere cottage are a wonderful bonus. These include an indoor heated swimming pool, a table tennis room and a childrens' play area. The estate also offers free trout fishing. Should you feel the need to head away from your cottage near Windermere, then the beauty of the Lakes is on your doorstep. With stunning scenery and numerous attractions within easy touring distance, Hawkshead is in an ideal location at any time of the year.

Graythwaite fishery is free for all guests and equipment can be hired locally, a small fee is applicable to keep your catch, rod fishing license required.

We do have good news for those of you who were hoping to go swimming.
You will be able to use the Lakeside Hotel & Spa.
This is 2 miles from the Estate and you will pass it coming from the southerly Newby Bridge direction.
The following information / conditions are in place: The Pool and Gym is open from 7am -7pm daily with towels provided.
The pool is 17m long and 1.4m deep in the main area with a sloped beach effect as you enter from the steps.
At the poolside there is a Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna, which you are also able to use.
There will be a limit of up to 8 guests at any one time and the time slot is for a maximum of 1 1/2 hours.
