Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it is very well looked after and clean. Only one review mentioned an overpowering smell, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The location is central and perfect for accessing Bowness amenities and the lake. Some guests noted issues with parking and noise from nearby establishments, but the convenience of the location is consistently praised.

Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a homely feel. A few guests noted the upstairs bedroom can be very hot, and some noise disturbances, but overall comfort is rated highly.

Facilities are generally excellent, with high-quality furnishings and well-equipped kitchens. However, some guests reported minor issues such as chipped crockery, non-working spotlights, and problems with the internet connection, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance.

While many reviews express satisfaction with the overall experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category based on the available information.

A heavenly retreat in the heart of the lively village of Bowness, this chic stone-built cottage has it all. Workshop Cottage has been beautifully updated, and the result is breath-taking. Designer finishes throughout, exposed stone walls, slate and wood flooring and superbly comfortable sofas and beds.

The entrance hall is on the ground floor, along with the first of the two gorgeous bedrooms. This is a luxury double with separate dressing room and seemingly endless storage space. The bathroom is a treat. A wet room with large designer bath and separate walk in shower.

For a quick snack or glass of wine, the breakfast bar is an elegant addition. The master bedroom is on this floor. Fitted wardrobes, dressing table and glorious king size bed add up to early nights and lazy mornings.

Cottage is still in good condition two years on but little attention needed to touch up paintwork repair broken blind in living room and blind in downstairs dressing room. Lots of technology but let down by no working batteries in the various remote controls. All pretty minor issues and easy to remedy and nothing that spoiled a great week.

Very modern and all facilities you could wish for. Perfect location. My only constructive feedback would be to offer a 12noon checkout. 10am is too early. Also offer 2x sets of keys and 2x parking pass. As we were two couples who had to share the keys and pass and it was a pain. Other than it was great.
