Guests say

Limefitt Lodge in WINDERMERE is highly praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and scenic location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, including a hot tub, and the thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of a cosy, homely stay with ample space and modern amenities, making it a favourite for many and a place they wish to return to.

Guests consistently report the lodge as spotless and immaculate, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. The attention to detail is frequently commended, contributing to a welcoming and comfortable environment.

The lodge's location is frequently described as beautiful and quiet, with easy access to local attractions and scenic walks. Its proximity to Windermere and Ambleside is appreciated, although some guests mention poor lighting around the park.

The lodge is often described as cosy and comfortable, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. However, there are a few mentions of an uncomfortable mattress and a dip in the bed, which slightly affects the score.

Facilities such as the hot tub, kitchen equipment, and on-site pub are well-received. Some maintenance issues like missing hot tub jets, a difficult front door lock, and inadequate outdoor lighting are noted, but overall, the facilities are considered great.

Guests are delighted by the thoughtful gestures, including welcome gifts like Prosecco and chocolates. While these gifts are warmly received, it is politely noted that such gestures are not guaranteed for every stay.

Here you’ll enjoy nature and lovely views, and the Trout Beck running through the park. There’s a dog-friendly pub on site, a small shop and children’s playground. From here you can walk through the fields to the fabulous pub The Queens Head, and round the corner to the Mortal Man, both traditional old pubs with log fires and a warm welcome. Continue toward the beautiful Ullswater and the hamlet of Glenridding for more great pubs, shops, Ullswater Steamers and amazing walks. Here you can start the ascent of Helvellyn, or the Ullswater Way which now goes all the way round this beautiful lake.

Really spacious and everything you needed was in the lodge endless utensils, cutlery and tableware which was great and meant you could use the built in dishwasher often. It had outdoor seating and games inside the lodge which came in handy! The hot tub was also great. The beds were really comfortable, the only bad points would be that the shower in the main bedroom en suite seemed to stay cold and not get warm, there was also a smell of gas within the living area but other than these minor points everything was great! It was situated in a perfect spot within distance to all tourist attractions, the site had a small shop which was useful and ideal when you had forgotten something. The dog field was great you can take your dog and let them off the lead comfortably. There is also a lovely little park on the site and a field where you can go and let your children play with football goals. There is also a laundrette on site where you can wash and dry your clothing. The haybarn inn pub is situated on site also which has a Poole table, dartboard and other facilities inside however the only issue with this is that it closes a few days a week so plan when you want to go. I would definitely recommend

Could not find any faults at all. So clean. Everything you need in the property. Decorated to highest standard. Beds so comfortable and loved the sofas and carpet. Hot tub was so relaxing. Beautiful view. Actually the only fault I could find was the shower in the en suite did not get very hot but nothing major. Had a lovely stay with my husband and family for our daughter's 21st. Would definitely return. Thank you so much.
