Guests say

Priory Lodge in Windermere offers a charming stay with beautiful views and a private pathway to the lake, ideal for walks. The property's location is appreciated for its proximity to local attractions, and guests enjoy the well-furnished kitchen and cosy bedrooms. However, some guests suggest improvements in cleanliness and maintenance.

Several reviews mention issues with cleanliness, including cobwebs, mould, and a general need for a deeper clean. Despite some positive comments, the recurring theme of cleanliness concerns has impacted the score.

The location is generally praised for its proximity to Windermere and the private lake access. However, some guests were disappointed with the traffic noise and the property's proximity to a main road, slightly affecting the score.

Guests find the beds clean and the house warm, but there are several mentions of uncomfortable beds and a need for better amenities. The balance of positive and negative feedback leads to an average score.

The property is well-furnished with a good kitchen, but guests have noted issues with maintenance, such as broken fixtures and a lack of clear instructions. The need for upgrades in some areas has been highlighted.

There is insufficient information regarding the provision of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided, and guests should not expect gifts as standard.

Of necessity you drive in forwards and reverse out. You need a spotter prepared to help a driver who cannot see the road when coming out of the gates. A safety mirror on the other side of the road might help? Otherwise fantastic property - clean, well appointed and otherwise located
