The place was well positioned right between Windermere and Bowness. There were, however, two things that let the place down. The first: a lack of any kitchen products, the house is meant for 6 but had one small frying pan. There were no spices, salt, tea, coffee or basic things you would expect of a holiday rental, including washing up liquid. Normally some of the bare essentials would be provided especially considering the cost. The second, our checkout was at 10. The cleaning lady arrived at 10 on the dot, whilst we were putting our shoes on and clearly on the way out. She vehemently told us we were meant to be out and had a busy day planned, I was a bit taken aback about her abruptness as we were literally leaving when she arrived. Not the best service.
