When you're feeling peckish, head to the sleek kitchen and whip up a delicious meal for the pair of you to enjoy in an intimate conversation around the dining table. When it's sunny, open up the French doors to the shared enclosed patio garden with garden furniture and enjoy your meals out in the warmth. After a long day out, unwind under the rainfall shower and sink into a king-size bed to catch your rest. The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Old Laundry Theatre are 1.5 miles away. Orrest Head, where Alfred Wainwright was inspired to write his series of iconic guidebooks, is a 30-minute walk to enjoy the spectacular panorama of far-reaching views over the lake and surrounding fells. The owners kept in contact to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed. Parking was a bit hit and miss but generally found a space within a few minutes walk. The downside for us (maybe I should have read the information more carefully) was we couldnât leave our Two dogs alone. We would only have left them for a short period to enjoy the shops or grab lunch but were unable to enjoy those facilities as shopping and eating with pets itâs not that relaxing.

Couldn't ask for a better place to stop, a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants and so nice and cosy!
