Joy's Cottage in Norfolk receives high praise for its comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches, including a welcome hamper. Guests appreciate its ideal location for exploring attractions and beaches, as well as the cosy and well-equipped accommodation. The cottage's garden and local village amenities add to the charm, although parking for larger vehicles can be tight.
Guests consistently mention that the cottage is 'spotlessly clean' and 'beautifully clean', indicating a very high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is frequently praised for being ideal for visiting local sites and beaches, with a good village pub and amenities nearby, suggesting a very favourable position.
The cottage is described as 'comfortable', 'cosy', and 'well maintained', with comfortable beds and a pleasant garden area. There is a minor note about indoor seating not being as comfortable, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as 'well equipped'. However, there are minor criticisms such as the lack of a hose and broom for the garden and a television in the bedroom, leading to a slightly lower score.
The host's thoughtfulness is highlighted by mentions of a generous welcome hamper and treats for pets. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Snettisham is a classic Norfolk village. The historic structures are known as "gingerbread houses" throughout the neighbourhood. General stores, a Post Office, two inns, a restaurant, and a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside town of Hunstanton and ancient King's Lynn are among the village's facilities. The church of St Mary, which stands alone on top of the hill, is well worth a visit, especially to see the intricately detailed tracery flowers on the west window. The old Peddars Way public footpath runs near the settlement, and there is an rspb bird sanctuary close to the beach.

Huge selection of places to visit, and good range of eateries nearby. Helpful and friendly support from the owner, and lots of useful information in the property. Extra towels and treats for the dog were a nice touch. Securely enclosed and sunny garden area, but laid almost entirely to paving, decking and gravel, with plenty of useful furniture. This was lovely for human visitors but perhaps a little bit stark for dogs. Off-road parking was adequate for a small saloon car. Access and space would be tight for a larger family vehicle. Overall, we would be very happy to return again.
