Chestnut Barn welcomes big families and groups of friends for relaxing self-catering holidays in Norfolk all year round. The spacious holiday home sleeps ten people in four bedrooms, potentially accommodating two more guests in folding beds and two infants in cots. Beautifully furnished interiors and landscaped gardens with games, table tennis, sandpit, bike storage, and a hot tub are perfect for your family holiday, hen-do, or catching up with friends over a long weekend. You're within a few miles of Cromer and other beaches and within walking distance of the village shop, green, and pub in Aldborough. 

Chestnut Barn is the perfect holiday home for families. Comfortably sleeping ten people in four bedrooms, with the potential to fit in extras on folding beds and cots, it's ideal if you are with your extended family or your children want to invite some friends to come on holiday with them. Situated in the pretty village of Aldborough, the stylish and welcoming barn conversion is within walking distance of the village shop, green and play area, and the family-run The Cricketers on the Green pub. Staying here puts you within a few miles of the gorgeous North Norfolk coast and close to the region's favourite sights and attractions.

North Norfolk beaches are amazing. With a mix of vibrant Victorian resorts and quiet stretches, you can choose a beach to suit your mood. The famous pier and vast expanse of sand at Cromer are seven miles from your door. Sheringham, East and West Runton, and Overstrand are also a 15-20 minute drive away, while Mundesley is only a few miles further. You aren't restricted to the coast when you stay at Chestnut Barn, as you're within easy reach of the magnificent Norfolk Broads. Go surfing at the beach one day and sailing or SUPing the next. Walking along dedicated footpaths like the Norfolk Coast Path National Trail and Peddars Way is another fantastic way to enjoy being outdoors and active in this stunning landscape. Golf, fishing and cycling are also popular.

Norwich is just over half an hour's drive from Chestnut Barn, with historic medieval buildings, theatres, and places to eat and drink. Local attractions include National Trust's Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall. Those with younger children will be delighted that bewilderwood and the Dinosaur Park are within 15 miles. You don't have to leave the house to have a great time. The owners have fitted the property with indoor and outdoor games to suit all ages. They can also help if you want to arrange things like surfing lessons, spa days, flower arranging or cocktail making courses, and private chefs to cook a special meal or fill your fridge with deliciously prepared food to make your stay even more relaxed and carefree.

Whether you're taking time out of your busy life to treat your children to a traditional holiday by the Norfolk Coast, you're hosting a hen weekend or catching up with far-flung friends, you'll find Chestnut Barn incredibly comfortable and well-equipped for your self-catering stay.

Accommodation Comprises:

Chestnut Barn is a beautifully converted barn with enclosed gardens and accommodation over two levels.

Downstairs:

An open-plan layout encourages socialising. Cook, eat and relax on the sofas, throwing open the doors onto the patio in warm weather for even more living space. There's a Smart TV with a DVD player and a Bluetooth soundbar, an Alexa for streaming your favourite music, and a wine fridge in the seating area so you don't have to keep getting up to go to the kitchen. The dining table seats 12 people (and can extend to seat more) with highchairs for infants.

All you need for self-catering, including lots of storage space for groceries and drinks, is in the well-equipped kitchen. The owners can arrange to take delivery of your supermarket shopping if you want it ready for when you arrive.

Two of the four bedrooms are on the ground floor. They are at either end of the house and feature doors opening to the garden, king-sized beds, ample storage and an ensuite (one with a walk in shower and a bath, and the other with a walk in shower).

A variety of books, board games, and toys will help to keep everyone entertained.

There is a further toilet with shower off the entrance hall.  

Upstairs:

There are two more bedroom suites on the first floor, reached via separate staircases for privacy.

Bedroom 3 is furnished with a king-sized bed and storage, and has an ensuite shower room.

Bedroom 4 has four single beds and a seating area with beanbags and a TV with a DVD player. This room is a favourite with younger guests but can accommodate adults as well.

The owner can provide two folding single beds and two cots to go in any of the bedrooms.

Beds will be made up for your arrival with the exception of cots, where guests will need to provide bedding. Bath towels are also included.

Outside: The large garden has separate areas for eating, playing and soaking in the hot tub. There is table tennis in the cart shed, a variety of sports equipment and other outdoor games, large sandpit, secure bicycle storage, and parking for many cars.  A charcoal BBQ is provided.  There is further storage in the cart shed with a large Amercian style fridge freezer.  

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Guests to bring cot bedding and beach towels if they are required. There is an extra charge for use of the hot tub, extra beds and dogs. Up to four dogs are welcome. If you wish to bring more please speak to the owner. The property is strictly non-smoking inside, but the outside area and garden can be used for smoking.
