Further afield, spend a day in Cromer (3 miles), soaking up the traditional seaside atmosphere. Be sure to sample the famous Cromer crab in one of the many seafood restaurants, followed by a variety show at the end of the pier. Heading inland, the elegant, Georgian town of Holt (8 miles) is perfect for a spot of retail therapy, thanks to its independent shops and cute boutiques.
