Guests say

Pear Tree Barn is a charming cottage in Norfolk, praised for its cleanliness, peaceful setting, and lovely garden. Guests appreciate the proximity to dog-friendly beaches and local amenities, though some noted the compact size and limited cooking facilities. The property is ideal for those seeking tranquillity and a comfortable stay.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, one review mentioned a musty smell, which slightly impacts the overall cleanliness score.

The location is generally well-regarded for its quietness and proximity to beaches and the Broads. The local pub's accessibility was a minor concern due to temporary closure.

Guests found the bed extremely comfortable and the setting peaceful. However, some felt the proximity to the owner's house and the lack of certain amenities affected the overall comfort.

The facilities received mixed reviews, with some guests content with the limited cooking options, while others were disappointed by the lack of a hob and other amenities.

While some guests mentioned welcome gifts such as milk and biscuits, there are not enough references to consistently evaluate the thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for all stays.

There were a lot of flies inside the property which was not nice as they do sit on poop, upon opening windows, we managed to get them out but how and why there were so many of them gathered, I have no idea, we had also found them sitting on utensils so we had to reclean things we used. I would say to have 2 pets in there would make it a small space. It would be good to have a cooker and washing machine facilities available. The shower room is small. I am used to my own space and it did feel tight for me personally. May be good for a couple of days rather than a whole week.

The cooking facilities which says, you can cook meals in the compact kitchen. There isn't even a hob. I'm surprised that the owner, or indeed yourselves haven't rectified this as others have commented.it also makes it overpriced. Helen Keen

In the toilet the hand Basin is much too small, (To much in the way) The water pressure going into the toilet system needs to be increased so that it fills up quicker, it takes about 12 minutes to fill up, in the kitchen the cold tap wants replacing with a tap that reaches over the bowl, not in the corner of the sink, and the same with the hot water Triton needs moving over so it reaches over the bowl, and no bread knife in the kitchen. But overall we did enjoy it, so don't sack the Builder.
