Guests consistently praise the holiday cottage for its spotless condition, tasteful decoration, and comfortable furnishings. The well-equipped kitchen and secure outdoor area are appreciated, as are the comfortable beds and the property's central location, which provides easy access to local amenities and scenic walks. The property's thoughtful touches, including local information and a welcome gift, have been well received, making it a highly recommended stay for visitors.
Reviewers unanimously commend the property for its immaculate condition, noting it as spotless and well-maintained. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive guest experience.
The property's central location in the village is highlighted as perfect, with easy access to shops, pubs, and restaurants. The proximity to scenic walks and the countryside is also appreciated, although one mention of morning traffic noise slightly tempers the score.
Guests find the beds extremely comfortable and the house cozy, contributing to a restful and enjoyable stay. The property's overall ambiance and the warmth of the additional outside loo are noted as aspects that enhance comfort.
The property is praised for its well-equipped kitchen, including a full-sized fridge and freezer, and the availability of walking guides and information. The extra outside toilet is seen as a handy addition. However, a single mention of difficulty with the hob indicates a minor issue with facilities.
The provision of local information, recommendations, maps, and a welcome gift are seen as thoughtful touches that enhance the guest experience. While such gifts are warmly appreciated, it is politely noted that they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Everything you need, excellent facilities, convenient to the local pubs, shops and cafes. Easy parking Property was great for cocker spaniel with great walks straight from the door either along the river, or up onto the hills in less than 5 minutes with options for short and long circular walks, we will return in the future and would recommend.

The cottage was located right in the centre of Middleton-in-Teesdale, so it was very e ll located and handy for the shops, pubs and restaurants. It had a lot of character but was very modern and tastefully decorated inside. It has two good-sized double bedrooms and a small single room, each one very comfortably decorated. It had everything youâd need and a good patio for the dog and sitting outside. We were lucky that the weather was gorgeous the weekend we stayed so that made it even better. Well done to the owners. We loved it!

Central location; an hour away from most towns. Nice little village. Fish and chips V good. Pie and chips even better. House has been well thought out. Kitchen is small but has everything needed. One of the best properties weâve stayed in. Easily fitted an adult family of 5 in kitchen and lounge, and TV in each room was a bonus.
