Guests have consistently praised Falcus Cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. The property's location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to local attractions. The thoughtful touches by the hosts, including welcome gifts, have been well received, although these are not guaranteed for every stay.
The cottage receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews mentioning its well-prepared and tidy state. One minor note on kitchen cleanliness slightly impacts the score.
The location is praised for being peaceful and within easy reach of local amenities and attractions. However, parking issues and one mention of a 50-minute walk to the nearest town slightly affect the score.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the beds comfy and the cottage cosy. The presence of a fireplace and underfloor heating are noted positively. A single mention of towel size is the only minor drawback.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. However, concerns about staircase safety, towel size, and a few maintenance issues slightly lower the score.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of welcome gifts and dog-friendly touches. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts may not be a standard offering for all stays.
