Guests say

Sandycott is a well-placed cottage in Northumberland, appreciated for its proximity to the beach and spacious garden. Guests have enjoyed comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and the inclusion of games and books. While some find the property a bit dated, the charm and location often outweigh these concerns.

The cottage was described as spotless by a guest, indicating a high level of cleanliness. No negative comments about cleanliness were noted.

The location is highly praised for its easy access to the beach and quiet yet central setting, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful beach stay.

Guests found the beds very comfortable and the property spacious. However, some guests mentioned that the property might be a bit cramped for 8 people, suggesting that comfort could be compromised with a full house.

The kitchen is well-equipped, and there are plenty of games and outdoor equipment. However, several guests noted that the bathrooms need updating and some appliances are old or in need of repair.

While guests appreciated the inclusion of tea-bags, cooking oil, salt, and pepper, there were no specific mentions of gifts. Therefore, it cannot be determined if thoughtfulness in the form of gifts is a consistent practice at this property.

The cottage itself is a little tired, but has ample space for a family very close to a stunning beach, we had a lovely time .

Fabulous location and comfortable cottage which was great for our family and 2 dogs. Beach just a small walk away with a good sized enclosed garden for the dogs - I have a Lurcher and big enough for zoomies ! Well equipped kitchen. Couldn’t use the gate from garden to sand dunes as was too overgrown with nettles etc but wasn’t a problem as a path close by that did the job. Am sad to be home as we had a great time and fabulous weather.

A beautiful cottage in a perfect location. It's perfect for a peaceful beach stay. The cottage would benefit from some TLC & updating, although it didn't deter us from enjoying our stay. A word of warning - the hot water is hotter than the surface of the sun so becareful.
