Guests have consistently praised Whiteadder Bank for its tranquil setting, high-spec refurbishment, and beautiful views. The property's comfort, spaciousness, and well-equipped facilities are frequently highlighted, alongside the thoughtful welcome pack. While there are minor mentions of maintenance and cleanliness issues, these do not detract from the overall positive experiences, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found the property to be very comfortable and clean. However, a few guests mentioned minor cleanliness issues such as stains on carpets and a dirty baking tray, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and convenience, being a short drive from Berwick-upon-Tweed and close to the A1. The picturesque setting with river views and wildlife adds to the appeal, making it a standout feature for guests.
Guests have found the property to be warm, comfortable, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and sociable spaces. There is a mention of a potentially uncomfortable mattress, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.
The property is commended for its ample facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and strong internet. Some guests suggested minor improvements and reported maintenance issues like a sticking valve and the need for more chopping boards, but these are outweighed by the overall positive feedback.
While guests have expressed appreciation for the welcome pack, there is not enough information to determine if such thoughtfulness is a consistent practice for all stays. Therefore, while it is a lovely touch, it should not be expected for every visit.

Tweedmouth is a settlement that is a component of the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland. It is situated between the hamlet of Haggerston to the south and the parish of Mordrington to the north on the banks of the River Tweed. Contrary to Berwick, the town has historically always been a part of England. It is well known for its yearly ritual, where Tweedmouth schools choose a "Salmon Queen" to inaugurate "Salmon Week," a custom that extends all the way back to 1292. The community is located in close proximity to a multitude of beaches, historic sites, and the Scottish border, which is only a short distance to the north. The Riverside Cafe, Lee Garden, The Thatch, and The Angel Inn are some of the dining establishments in the village of Tweedmouth. Visitors can fill up on necessities at the Tesco Superstore or the M&S Simply Food food hall. Visit the historic grounds of the Berwick Lighthouse, the Berwick-upon-Tweed Castle and Ramparts, the Town Hall, and the magnificent Royal Border Bridge in the neighbouring town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Those who want to brush up on their local history can do so at the King's Own Scottish Borderers Regimental Museum and the Berwick Museum and Art Gallery.
