Pinfold Retreat in Alnmouth is praised for its superb location, with easy access to local amenities and the beach. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness and the provision of necessary equipment. While the cottage is cosy and well-suited for two, some find it less comfortable for four adults, citing limited dining space and seating comfort. Parking is convenient, though the lack of outdoor space for dogs is noted. Overall, the cottage offers a pleasant stay in a charming village, ideal for exploring Northumberland's coastline.
The cottage generally receives positive remarks on cleanliness, with guests finding it very clean and well-kept, contributing to an enjoyable stay.
The location is highly praised for its convenience, being central in Alnmouth with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the beach, making it an ideal spot for exploring the area.
Comfort receives mixed reviews; while the beds are commended, the living room seating is often described as uncomfortable, particularly for groups of four, affecting the overall comfort level.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped. However, some guests experienced issues with maintenance, such as out-of-order fireplaces and missing items, slightly diminishing the score.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Fabulous cottage with parking- what a bonus! Well equipped, lovely linen and very cosy and comfortable. Location was an absolute winner, ideal for exploring Northumberland’s stunning coastline. A few minutes walk to pubs and lovely places to eat.

Great situation in Alnmouth. Cottage clean and well equipped generally. Much improved fro our last visit. It is down a very narrow passage and has no back yard or small garden so only one door at the front. Can park outside but at least a five or six point turn required even for a small car. Very pet friendly inside with lots of stuff for visiting dogs which is great but if they need to go it always has to be a walk to find any grassy area.
