Just ten miles away rests Alnwick Castle and its famed Garden, famed as the backdrop for Hogwarts School depicted in the "Harry Potter" movie franchise. Alnwick also hosts a good assortment of shops, pubs, and restaurants, as well as miles of golden sandy beaches, multiple castles, and boat tours to the famed Farne Islands. There was a poor TV signal so we couldn't watch TV. If you like peace and quiet with nothing to do then this is the place for you. I booked it for the golf but there are no buggies so I couldn't play and the course itself was in poor condition. 7 miles to the local supermarket as no shop on site. Sadly we left a day early through boredom.

I texted the owner about this but said we could cope so no need to dash over until we had finished our holiday. No instructions about WiFi. Had to find the code ourselves. Tv reception poor. Had to use catchup. It was comfortable and well equipped and decor was good. Plenty of storage. Shower cubicles could do with some hooks adding for stuff. Great site and overall we enjoyed our stay there.
