Manderine Lodge is praised for its well-equipped kitchen, beautiful location, and thoughtful touches like welcome gifts. The hot tub is a highlight, though some cleanliness issues are noted. It's a comfortable stay overall, with a few maintenance points that could be improved.
Guests generally found the lodge clean but noted some issues such as a mouldy bathroom, stained carpets, and a dirty veranda. The hot tub cleanliness was inconsistent, with some guests finding it well-maintained and others noting scum.
The lodge is well-located, surrounded by beautiful countryside, with easy access to beaches, walks, and local attractions. One review mentioned a muddy walk to a local bar, suggesting room for minor improvements.
The lodge is described as homely and spacious, but some guests reported worn furniture and uncomfortable seating. The property felt spacious for families and pets.
Facilities like the kitchen and hot tub are appreciated, but several reviews mention maintenance issues such as a weak shower, noisy bathroom extractor, and outdated TV. The lodge is well-equipped for a holiday stay.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches like wine, crisps, and dog food. While these gifts enhance the experience, they are subject to availability and not guaranteed for every stay.

Clean and comfortable . Hot tub could do with being undercover. Great place. Great location for the coast. Will be returning.

It turned out to be the shower attachment to the mixer tap had a leak so we could not use it. The hot tub was good but the area was dirty and the cover was very heavy and awkward to cope with, we are both in our 80s. A gate at the top of the access steps would be good when visitors like us had a dog. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Manderine Lodge and Northumberland.

A lovely homely lodge, lots of thought and attention to make it comfortable and dog friendly which is a must for us. Our only feedback was that the hot tub had a bit of scumy dirt around the water level and seemed like it hadn't been cleaned. The TV signal was really poor, as was the wifi. I think if the TV signal and possibly the wifi could be sorted out it would be a great improvement. Thank you for a wonderful stay, would thoroughly recommend staying here. Bests Lucie and Bernie
