Yeavering Cottage in Wooler, Northumberland, is praised for its beautiful location, spaciousness, and cleanliness. Guests enjoy the modern amenities, comfortable beds, and the proximity to walking trails and local attractions. The attached pub offers friendly service and good food. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, making it a recommended stay for exploring the area.
The property is consistently described as clean, with fresh-smelling bedding and towels. One mention of a bath/shower mat being less than clean slightly affects the score.
The location is highly praised for its stunning views, proximity to walking trails, local town, and attractions in Northumberland and Scotland, contributing to a high score.
The beds are noted as very comfortable, and the property is spacious. However, some guests found the sofas uncomfortable and the lack of wardrobes inconvenient, slightly lowering the score.
The property is well-equipped with modern amenities and cooking facilities. Points are deducted for maintenance issues like a leaky shower, wobbly bathroom fixings, and an oven door issue.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches beyond the standard amenities provided, so this category cannot be scored.

Great location and spacious. There were a few things that needed attention, but it didn't impact on our holiday.

The sofas were a bit short in the leg, but then I am quite tall!! Everything was there that we needed! Had a couple of nice meals in the pub next door, very handy when we didnât fancy cooking or had had a long day out! Good location, lots to see locally or further awayâ¦..we had a couple of trips to Edinburgh, one was to visit HMY Britannia, well worth it!

The accommodation was well equipped everything you need for a weeks holiday. It was very clean and cosy. The extra king size bed was very comfortable. We visited the Tankerville hotel and was greeted by a friendly lady who was very welcoming. We dined at the hotel and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend staying at the Yeavering
