Enter this stunning 18th-century manor house, and you will find yourself mid-landing on a traditional stone staircase – a fitting entrance to this magnificent property. A traditional pub and lounge area can be found down on the ground floor: a memorable setting for relaxed conversations or a pub quiz. Enjoy feasting in a formal dining room, complete with a chandelier. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need to make meal preparation a breeze, but you may prefer to enjoy eating out in the village. Up on the first floor is a lounge with an open fire, plenty of seating and views over the garden. There are four bedrooms on this floor, all are en-suite and have TVs. Three spectacular waterfalls are close by at Ashgill Force (5.5 miles), High Force and Low Force (18 miles). Talkin Tarn Country Park (18 miles) is a great day out for all ages with a country park, lake, water sports and fishing to enjoy. Alternatively, to make the most of the activities in the area, head to the Bowlees Visitor Centre (19 miles) and choose an adventure from there.
