My main suggestion would be to have a fan available to help cool the lounge. The house is a modern new build with excellent insulation. As a consequence of this it gets extremely warm, even with the French doors and windows open. A pedestal fan would have made a huge difference to our comfort. FYI - The village pub is closed at present for refurbishment.

The little village though no amenities is so quiet, well kept and the locals are really friendly plus only 10 mins drive each way to either Appleby or Kirkby Stephen which have everything you could need. We would highly recommend.

It was in an area where there was lots to do, visit or see.
